The Key of F major
F major is F – G – A – B♭ – C – D – E.
Why this key
F major is the first flat key, and on a guitar it is where the barre chord becomes unavoidable — there is no open F. It is far more common in jazz and horn music, because a B♭ instrument reading in F is really playing in G, which is comfortable for them and not for you.
