The short version
Your studies and drafts are stored on your device. Sharing a study uploads a copy — including the name you type on it — to a share link that anyone holding the link can open. Using the contact form sends your email and optional message privately to the maker of Turnaround. There are no accounts, no ads, and nothing here is sold or shared for advertising.
Who is responsible
Turnaround is made and run by one person, who is the data controller for everything described here. Reach them through the contact form — the same address handles privacy requests.
What is stored on your device
Your saved studies, drafts, favorites, per-study instrument choices, view preferences, the mute setting, and the name you last used when sharing are held in your browser's or device's local storage. They are not sent anywhere unless you share a study. Clearing browser data — or deleting the app — removes them, and they are the only copy, so nothing can be recovered afterwards.
Sharing a study
When you send a study, the chart itself, the name you type as the sender, and a generated postcard image are uploaded to a database hosted by Supabase and stored there. Anyone with the link can open it and see the sender name you typed — that is what makes the link work. If you would rather not attach a name, leave the field blank.
Shares are kept until they are deleted. There is no automatic expiry, and no self-service delete: to have a share removed, send the link through the contact form and it will be deleted. Both the website and the iOS app share the same way.
Analytics on the website
The web version at www.playturnaround.app uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics service that records anonymous, aggregated page views (no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers). See Vercel's analytics privacy documentation for details. The iOS app has no analytics at all.
Turnaround sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking, so there is no cookie banner to answer.
Getting in touch
If you submit the contact form, your email address and message are sent through Resend to the maker's private inbox so they can reply. They are not published and not added to a mailing list. The app does not save them in browser storage. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.
Your rights
You can ask what has been stored about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — including any share you have sent and any contact message. Use the contact form; requests are answered by the person who runs the app. Personal information is never sold, and never shared for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
Turnaround is a music tool for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and no personal information is knowingly collected from them. If a child has sent a share or a message, ask through the contact form and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
